A poem, or an empty page of a poet,
Which one speaks more?
An empty page, a canvas of silence,
Where thoughts are trapped in an unseen war.

A poet rendered inexpressive,
Mute by choice or by fate,
A silent echo, a voice suppressed,
A heart that cannot articulate.

Or a poem expressing soul’s death in words,
Where every line drips sorrow’s ink,
A testament of loss and despair,
A mirror where shadows think.

Which one speaks more?
The unspoken depths of an empty page,
Or the cry within crafted lines,
Both hold a language of their own,
Both resonate through different times.

One whispers of what might have been,
The other shouts what has been lost,
Silence and speech, both intertwined,
Each bearing a heavy cost.
