Oh, fleeting passion, once my guiding star,
In your absence, life dims, my soul bereft,
For in your light, I found my world’s bizarre,
Now shadowed, I sit idle, nothing left.
You, my muse, my breath, my reason to be,
With you, I soared upon enchanted wings,
Now grounded, yearning for what used to be,
In silence, I await what absence brings.
Is this love, that takes and leaves me hollow?
A cruel jest of fate, a bitter art,
To dwell in shadows, where once joy did follow,
Now stillness reigns, tearing my world apart.
Yet, in this quietude, a whisper stirs,
A memory, a hope, a distant gleam,
That from this darkness, passion may reoccur,
And in its light, I’ll find my lost esteem.
Oh, passion, come again, redeem my soul,
Awaken love, revive the dying flame,
For in your presence, I shall be made whole,
And find in you, my heart’s eternal claim.
